Nick Gordon continues to take it day by day.

The boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina Brown has checked out of rehab, E! News confirms. He entered treatment for alcohol abuse following an emotional sit-down on Dr. Phil. His mother, Michelle Gordon, had told Dr. Phil McGraw that she feared for her son's life in the wake of what happened to Bobbi Kristina.

A source told us early this month that Gordon was "doing extremely good in rehab," and roughly two weeks after the he was still said to be "doing very well."

Bobbi Kristina remains unresponsive, albeit breathing on her own, at a treatment center in Atlanta, almost three months after being found submerged in the bathtub at the home she shared with Gordon.

Grandmother Cissy Houston said in a statement last week that Bobbi Kristina was no longer in a coma but doctors have said that the 22-year-old has "irreversible brain damage."

"Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me," Houston said. "We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers."

"I miss Krissy and [her mom, Whitney Houston] so bad," a tearful Gordon told Dr. Phil. "I want them back...I hate Bobby Brown." Lawyers for Bobbi Kristina's father and Gordon have told differing stories in recent months, the the former saying that Gordon made no particular efforts to visit Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and the latter saying Brown's camp had prevented him from visiting.

Since leaving rehab, Gordon has been staying with his mother, according to People, which was first to report he was out of treatment.

Also in the spirit of moving forward, public records show that on March 30 Gordon cut a plea deal in a 2012 reckless driving and speeding case; he was fined $705, given a credit for two days spent in jail and otherwise given a suspended sentence of 11 months and 28 days upon payment of the fine.
