Glendale police are seeking the public’s help to identify a man caught on camera stealing jewelry from a home last month, authorities said Thursday.
Surveillance video taken Monday, Jan. 9, showed a dark car — driven by a second suspect — drive by the home on the 1200 block of Thompson Avenue several times, then park nearby after the homeowner left the residence.
The first suspect — a man wearing a maroon “Hustler” hoodie — then approached the home and broke into a detached office behind the home, according to Glendale Police Department spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.
“The suspect removed a small safe which contained jewelry and fled in the listed vehicle driven by (the second suspect),” Lightfoot said.
The hooded suspect was described as 25 to 35 years old, standing about 6 feet tall with a thin build and beard.
No description was given for the second suspect who was driving the getaway car.
Police described the car as a black, four-door 2005-06 Mercedes C-Series, which possibly had light damage to its right front.
