Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made a surprise stop at the Wawa on DeKalb Pike in King of Prussia on Tuesday afternoon, a few minutes after making a stump speech at the DoubleTree hotel in Valley Forge.

The Associated Press reported that Trump didn't purchase anything, though he did pose for photos with some customers.

Trump was accompanied by his daughter and Penn grad Tiffany Trump, campaign manager and South Jersey native Kellyanne Conway, and, according to Joel B. Pollak, a Breitbart reporter traveling with the Trump campaign, Bobby Knight, the famed former University of Indiana men's basketball coach who is a well-known Trump supporter.

Bloomberg's Kevin Cirilli and a MSNBC videographer reported that other members of the Trump entourage bought Tastykake fruit pies:

Cirilli, a Delaware County native, who has past stops at Penn State, Philadelphia Magazine, and Philly.com, not surprisingly took a gentle roasting on Twitter for his cardinal spelling errors, and he quickly apologized for one, at least:

Blame the campaign trail.

I misspelled TastyKake.

Thank you #delco twitter for keeping me honest.

I apologize and regret the error.

I blame the fact that I couldn't keep my eyes off the soft pretzels. https://t.co/iebGXVlR38

Trump is the second consecutive Republican presidential nominee to make a prominent stop at a Wawa in eastern Pennsylvania while trying to win votes in the region. Four years ago, Mitt Romney visited a Wawa in Quakertown, and notably asked the clerk for a meatball "sub" with pickles and sweet peppers. He quickly corrected himself and asked for a hoagie instead.

Romney later said in another campaign speech that he was impressed by Wawa's touchscreen ordering computers.
