The driver shot by a Haddon Township police officer last month had a fully-loaded Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum revolver and additional ammunition in his truck, authorities said Wednesday.
Edmond Brown, 38, of Camden, has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, in addition to aggravated assault, eluding, and hindering apprehension.
Brown drove away during a traffic stop near Route 130 and Alabama Road on Oct. 29, authorities said. He then crashed his vehicle into a parked car and became involved in a "brief struggle" with a Haddon Township police officer, who shot Brown once, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.
Brown was treated at Cooper University Hospital and is being held on $100,000 bail at the Camden County Jail.
