HOLLYWOOD >> Seth Rogen’s Hilarity for Charity Fund, established with the Alzheimer’s Association to inspire change and raise awareness of the disease among the millennial generation, will hold its fifth annual variety show Saturday night, featuring Snoop Dogg as the headliner.
Snoop Dogg is set to perform several songs at the benefit at the Hollywood Palladium.
“Each year, we set out to plan a show that will entertain and make people laugh. With Snoop as our headliner, I think we can guarantee our audience a pretty incredible evening! We can’t wait to see what he has cooked up,” Rogen said.
“When my man Seth asked me to join Hilarity for Charity, I didn’t think twice,” the rapper said. “It’s great to support Seth, HFC and the team at the Alzheimer’s Association in providing help and research to those in need.”
Rogen and his wife, Lauren Miller Rogen, established Hilarity for Charity in 2012 as part of the Alzheimer’s Association, through which monies raised are directed to help families affected by Alzheimer’s care, increase support groups nationwide and fund research. Since its inception, Hilarity for Charity has raised more than $5 million.
Past variety show musical guests have included Miley Cyrus, The Backstreet Boys, Bell Biv Devoe, Bruno Mars and Mayer Hawthorne.
HFC’s previous variety shows have also featured performances and appearances by such stars as James Franco, Judd Apatow, Aziz Ansari, Jack Black, Ty Burrell, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kevin Hart, Samuel L. Jackson, Leslie Mann, Paul Rudd and Sarah Silverman.
