An unidentified man was fatally shot Friday night in Southwest Philadelphia, police said.
Just before 7:25 p.m., police and medics were called to the alley behind the 1300 block of South 58th Street, where they found the victim with bullet wounds to his head, chest, torso, and back, said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The man, who appeared to be in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:53 p.m. No ballistic evidence was found around the body, suggesting the man was shot with a revolver or was killed elsewhere and dumped in the alley, Small said.
Homicide detectives were checking nearby surveillance cameras for possible video evidence, Small said.
