The 35-year-old reality star left from le Bourget, one of the airports serving the Paris region, early Monday Paris time, according to Le Parisien, a French-language newspaper whose report suggested the attack was well-planned.

It was carried out at 2:30 a.m. Paris time by a crew that forced a guard to open her room at the No Address Hotel, a luxury residential hotel in the tony La Madeleine section of Paris, Le Parisien reported. Her feet were bound, she was handcuffed, then locked up in a bathroom, but not hurt.

Police sources told Le Parisien that the robbers took a jewelry box whose contents were estimated at $6.7 million and a $4-million ring, plus her purse, two cell phones and 1,000 euros.

After reporting what had happened to detectives, Kardashian was driven to the airport with a police escort. Kardashian flew to New York City, according to media reports.

In New York, husband Kanye West interrupted a concert at Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens and left the venue when he got word of the robbery, citing a family emergency.

What appears to be an intensive investigation has been launched by Paris police.
