Planning a weekend trip to downtown Los Angeles? Do so at your own risk.

L.A. Live is host to some big draws this weekend, which means big crowds, which means more cars on the road, which means tons of traffic.

The 110 Freeway might prove difficult to traverse thanks to a comic book confab, a concert and the Los Angeles Clippers’ home opener.

The newly christened Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con, formerly known as Comikaze, is expected to bring at least 90,000 people to the Los Angeles Convention Center today through Sunday, according to convention center spokeswoman Alexa Michelle Diaz.

Comic Con kicked off this evening at 5 p.m. and runs all day Saturday and Sunday.

There will also be lots of people next door at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. Live, where the Pet Shop Boys are slated to perform Saturday at 9 p.m.

Then the Clippers host the Utah Jazz for their home opener at the Staples Center Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

As far as the Los Angeles Police Department is concerned, it’s business as usual, according to Lt. Melody Hainline of LAPD’s Central Traffic Division.

“Because of the way the streets are gridded down there, the traffic should be flowing really well,” she said.

While the streets may not be clogged, the freeways probably will, so proceed with caution.

Or you could take Metro.
