Gwen Stefani's father isn't wasting any time when it comes to protecting his famous family.
E! News learns that Dennis Stefani secured a temporary restraining order through the Pasadena Superior Court earlier this week against an alleged stalker who he believes is a threat to both him and his family.
In the court documents obtained by E! News, Stefani states that Richard Portnoy appeared at his residence on March 18 and insisted on "discussing his prior efforts and his need to make contact with other protected parties as he tried to do on March 16."
Stefani adds that in addition to the March 18 incident, Portnoy has harassed some of the other protected parties through handwritten letters delivered on February 15 and February 25. The 69-year-old also worries that Portnoy, 56, is likely to approach and make contact at the homes again.
The temporary restraining order protects Dennis, along with his wife Patricia, daughter Gwen, son-in-law Gavin Rossdale and grandchildren Kingston, 8, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 1, and will remain in effect until their court hearing on April 9.
