Maybe this guy just wanted to have a chill rap session with Bristol Palin.

But whatever his intention, 25-year-old Peter Paul William Ferrero of Florida was arrested and charged with stalking in the first degree after Sarah Palin's eldest daughter called the police on Sept. 7 to report that there was a man at her residence whom she believed was the same guy who had sent her roughly 1,000 Facebook messages since March.

According to the criminal complaint filed Sept. 8 in an Alaska court and otained by E! News, Bristol was returning home with her son, Tripp, when Ferrero greeted her in the driveway and identified himself as "Peter Paul." She then connected him to the Facebook messages and, when he continued to approached her after she told him to back off, she ran across the street with Tripp to call 911.

Officer Brandon Gray of the Wasilla Police Department states in the complaint that he arrived at the scene and was informed by another officer that a sweatshirt had been found on Bristol's third-floor balcony, accessible only if one was inside the house or had climbed up from the second-story porch.

Bristol's younger sister Willow, who was at the house, told Gray that someone identifying himself as "Peter Paul" had previously contacted her several times by phone and social media "and thought he was in some type of relationship with her," the complaint states.

Gray states that, in addition to the sweatshirt, he also found rolling papers and "a small amount of a green leafy substance that I suspected to be marijuana" on the balcony. Ferrero later told Gray in an interview that he had arrived in Alaska from Florida on Sept. 3 to "live the Alaskan life," and that all of the stuff collected off the balcony was his.

Ferrero said he's been following Bristol's blog and "wanted 10 minutes of Palin's time to explain his issues to her," according to Gray.

Also per the complaint, Gray found via the National Crime Information Center that Ferrero had a 2009 conviction in Gainesville, Fla., for aggravated stalking.
