The Vampire Diaries' Hilarious Comic-Con Video: The "Real" Reasons Behind the Season 5 Finale Cliffhanger

Everybody hates Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder. Just kidding. Or are we? The Vampire Diaries took Comic-Con by storm on Saturday, July 26 and treated fans to the hilarious video below.

Vampire Diaries fans will recall Damon (Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Graham) were left on The Other Side in the season five finale, seemingly meeting their maker. According the fun video below, it was all because everybody wanted them off the show.

But really, you're probably wondering what's the deal with Damon and Bonnie after their hand-holding end. They'll be back.

"You'll see enough of them to make you happy and more as it goes along. They are by no means going to be off the air for six episodes," The Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec told E! News. "The mystery is where are they, what happened, are they dead, not dead, and what the hell are they going to do together, those two of all people?"

At the panel, Plec revealed there will be a four month time jump between the finale and the premiere.

More from Plec on what to expect here!

The Vampire Diaries premieres Thursday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
