Instagram Perhaps if Kate Upton gave Justin Verlander puppy dog eyes in this photo, the baseball player might be persuaded to adopt a new furry friend. On Tuesday, the supermodel Instagrammed a picture of herself holding an adorable dog and tagged her boyfriend in the post, writing, "Pleaseeeee @justinverlander."
The Detroit Tigers' starting pitcher, 31, responded by Instagramming a picture of his reddish Heinz 57 mix. "@kateupton If anyone objects raise your hand!" he wrote. "#RileyObjects #jealous #RileyWins."
Verlander and his ex-girlfriend Emily Yuen adopted "the coolest dog ever" when they were in college.
"We went to the SPCA, and he kept licking our faces," he told Richmond Magazine in 2008. "We've been building a bond with this dog. He's been around since day one. He's experienced everything with me."
Instagram Upton, meanwhile, regularly posts pictures of her dog Boots via Twitter and Instagram. While the 22-year-old blond beauty may not end up getting a new dog, she's already got a Tiger of her very own!
